What is the raffle for?

  • The opportunity for a student to register in KYP’s tutoring program.

Who may be entered in one of these raffles?

  • Students who wish for their student(s) to join KYP’s tutoring program who are attending school and beginning grades 1-11 in 2024.

  • Families with more than one student may enter each of their students separately in the raffle.

What raffle may my student be entered into?

  • Students may be entered into one raffle only.

  • Students must be entered in the raffle for the tutoring location in which the child stays unless one of the other tutoring locations is closer to the student’s home.

Are there a limited number of raffle tickets available?

  • There is no limit to the number of raffle ticket forms available at each of the sites.

  • One raffle ticket form per eligible student.

How do I enter my child in the raffle?

  • A parent, guardian, student, or someone representing the family must attend the raffle in person.

  • That person must fill out a raffle ticket form for the eligible student.

  • That completed raffle ticket form must be submitted to the KYP representatives collecting forms before the raffle begins.

  • Raffle ticket forms will be available at the raffle site starting one hour before the raffle and ending approximately 30 minutes before the raffle begins.  This will allow everyone enough time to fill out and submit the forms so can be included in the raffle.

  • The person who fills out the form will retain the “Applicant Copy” portion of the form, which includes the unique raffle ticket number.

  • The below sample raffle ticket form shows the required information for each entry.

  • It is a good idea to bring a pen to fill out the raffle ticket. Pens will also be available at the site.

How will the raffle happen?

  1. All completed raffle ticket forms will be deposited by KYP representatives in a container with the other entries completed for children seeking entry to the tutoring program for that grade level at that tutoring site.

  2. The raffle will take place promptly at the hour listed above.

  3. A parent, guardian, student, or a designated representative for the family must be present when the raffle takes place.

  4. If a student’s raffle ticket number is called, that student or the person representing that student must make it known that their ticket was the one selected.  They must present themselves and their copy of the raffle ticket number promptly to a designated KYP representative.

  5. All available spots will be filled by students whose representatives have come forward at the time of the drawing.

  6. Raffle ticket forms will continue to be drawn from the container until all available spots for that grade at that tutoring site are filled.
